Style:
Annabelle Breakey has said multiple times, "I really love pretty light on pretty stuff." All of her pictures show that. They all have a lot of natural light, her whole portfolio was call Natural Light Food. She also tries to make her photos look very 3D and real while painting styles can be more blurred and not as real. The food is also set up in a very natural way to make it look as if you could just pick it up and cook. For example, for Starbucks she took a picture of coffee and donuts so it looked as if someone was sitting there eating them.

Philosophy:
Annabelle took pictures of food simply because she loves food. She loves the power that the picture can have over the viewer. Her main goal was to make the viewer hungry, thirsty, and need to posses that food. She uses color and light to help her achieve that goal. She wants people to see the love that she has for food in every picture she takes.

Influences:
Breakey has influenced my work so much. Taking these recreations has helped me learn more about the importance of natural lighting. All of her photos had a lot of natural lighting to make the food look really good. In my pictures I did my best to do that too. Another thing I learned from her is that its all about how you position the food. If you position it in a way that either one doesn't look natural, or two is just messy its gonna make the viewer not want to look at it. She influenced and taught me so much just with these 3 photos.

Compare and Contrast:
I think that my picture(right) and Breakey's picture(left) are pretty similar. I think that one big difference is that her foods have a more vibrant color while mine don't as much. Her picture has really good lighting that doesn't wash out the food. Mine washes it out a little bit not giving it that bright of a color. A similarity is that all of the foods I was able to set it up so they looked very similar.

Compare and Contrast:
In my picture I didn't use as many popsicles as Breakey did. I did my best to recreate this picture but I wasn't able to find popsicles that matched what hers looked like. I also think that her lighting brought out the colors of the popsicles while mine didn't as much. I do think that the angle that I took the picture at is very similar to how she took it. She did zoom in a lot more on the photo than I did and didn't show the ground as much but I think that a big part of that was that she had a bigger bowl.

Compare and Contrast:
One of the main differences between these two pictures is that I didn't use as many melons or a few of the different kinds of melons. I think the angle I took the picture at is very similar to how she took her picture. But again I feel as though her vibrance is a lot more than mine. I tried to make it different while I was editing but I couldn't get it exact. She did take her picture at the same angle as me but she didn't center it wither the camera, which i did.

Personal Statement:
I really enjoyed taking these pictures. I think that exploring this new style really helped me figure out what I plan to do in the future. In these picture I liked exploring the different angles of these pictures. I feel like the viewpoints were all different and it was fun to explore them. I also really enjoyed arranging the food. I think it was fun to be able to set food up so it looked appetizing.
